First of all, when you choose a college, it has to be a place where you want to be. You have to see yourself in the college in a couple of years.
Size-You have to choose the size you want. Do you want small school where all the professors know your names, or a big school where you are just a spec in the crowd?
Cost- Of course cost is a factor in everyone’s decision. (unless you are a millionaire, then you dont have to worry about the money aspect).
Location- Third, do you want a school in Michigan where you could come home everyday or somewhere far away from home where you only visit a couple times a year.
Majors- Does this particular school have the majors you want to study in college. If it doesn’t, then you would need to change your major or cross that school off of your list.
Narrow your search to a handful of colleges and visit their campuses. Walk around in the college as if you were going to school there to know if the college is perfect for you. If the school is far away and you don’t have that extra cash to fly their and view the campus, some schools now have a virtual tour of the school online.
Lastly, learn about the scholarships and financial aid the school has and how much money they are willing to give you to go to their school.
Once you picked your college, enjoy the next 4 years of your life!
