Coming Attractions: A New Blog Series on Internships

 It’s hard to find a job these days. So how are you expected to get experience in your chosen field? Easy. Get an internship!

Employers are always looking for free labor, and you can not only gain experience but also get college credit. It’s a win-win for everyone.

In the upcoming months, I am going to write a series of blogs on internships. I want to cover topics such as getting internships, applying internships toward college credit, how you can make internships work for you, etc. It’s information I wish I would have had as undergrad.

Stores are flooded with books promising to demistify the college admissions process. Some of them aren’t worth the paper they’re printed on. But if you find yourself with a gift card for Amazon or a bookstore this holiday season, consider these books on the college admission process.

Selecting A College

I’m happy to say that I finally decided upon a college. I’ll be attending Bowling Green State University in the fall. I was accepted to all of the schools I applied to, but BG seemed to be the best fit and I’m very satisfied with my choice of attending an out-of-state school. I feel that it was a lot better than just staying in state. I’ll become more independent and able to live on my own. Now the thing is finding scholarships. It’s a real scavenger hunt, trying to find all of the free money. My holiday break is going to be filled with FAFSA and scholarship apps. Continue reading
