Music is something that I have taken advantage of at a young age. Although, I did’nt know how powerful it was until I reached high school. Music opened doors for me, and it turned me into a better person. Music is like Superman to me!
I have had tons of gigs since high school, profit and non-profit. I play both the tuba and the string bass. The instruments I play are known as "The Bottom", the foundation of any band. I play in the symphonic band, marching band, and stage band at my high school
The solo gigs comes from me playing my string bass. This instrument is fun to learn, practice, and perform. It keeps you occupied for the most part. The other gigs are more intense will all the other bands that I am involved in. The biggest gig I ever had was with the marching and symphonic band during our trip to the 2008 Beijing, China Summer Olympics. The once in a lifetime trip was awesome! My band performed twice at a concert and a school in Beijing, China.
Music is a powerful tool that comes in handy on any job. I am actually working toward to recieving full-ride tuition for college with this tool. I feel that every person should invest in this tool. This tool can be your Superman too!
