I haven’t blogged in quite a long time. I finally came to a decision about my college choice and I’ve selected….Bowling Green State University. It’s about an hour and a half away from Detroit and I think that it’ll be a great fit for me. I visited the school on Feb. 15 for President’s Day since I had a scholarship interview there. I really feel like I belong there, everything is just amazing. I was a little apprehensive about leaving the state, but I am very content with my choice. I’m not really sure how my interview went, but I can only pray for the best. But, even if it didn’t turn out well, at least I had the experience.
I’ve been boggled down with scholarships recently. I have 2 due next week and more to come. I was selected as a Sam Walton semifinalist, so hopefully that will work out and I’m still awaiting replies from the others. Maybe my hard work will finally pay off.
I’m very excited about college and gaining independence. That first step will come tomorrow when I’m officially an adult. But, everything will really sink in when August rolls around and I actually have to leave
