March 1st and Paying For College

Is it just me or is everything due March 1st?

I have had so many things that need to be turned in on March first that I’m freaking out a litte. Sure, in January, March 1st seemed decades away. But now–it’s like, what a week away?

College tutition downpayments, housing fees, housing applications, AP test checks, sports forms.

My whole life comes down to March 1st! I thiink I’m going to pay at least 500 dollars on that day. And then comes Prom…

How do colleges expect us to pay for everything? I mean, I get financial aid, and my parents are paying all the costs up front, but I’ll have to pay eventually. What happens to those students who don’t have parents to pay for them? Of course, I expect to get a job, but it’s not a guarantee.

I heard one day, as a little H.S freshie, a senior said how senior year was so expensive. I laughed and walked away. Every year is expensive! Right?

Nope. Senior year is wiping me out. I don’t have time for a job, so at night I fill out surveys in hope for some extra cash on the side. You would think that Freshman year for college would be the most expensive (I don’t know I’m not there yet) but you have to pay everything up front–and that’s, yep, you guessed it: Senior year!

Plus, we have sports, prom, graduation, graduation parties, spring break, AP test fees, housing fees, and anything college-freshman involved.

Every penny I have is stretched until it looks like an almond.
