There really aren’t that many similarities, but I guess it depends on what high school you attend. For instance, my high school is a magnet school and we have a special admissions process, which almost mirrors college in a way. We also have a college prep curriculum and that prepares us for the workload we’ll face in college.
I really think that it all depends on what high school you attend. I can tell you a few of the differences: you’ll have your own independence and you’re fully accountable for all the work that you’re given. You also have strict deadlines and there’s no one to coddle you if you aren’t doing what you’re supposed to do. There really aren’t any similarities actually, it’s a whole new ballgame when college is involved. However, that could just be my opinion.
