Organization is the key to surviving high school. I can not stress this enough. When you are organized it is way easier to get your homework turned in on time and know where stuff actually is. Here are some tips on how to be way more organized.

1. Folders: The biggest mistake a person can make is to put all of his homework in one folder then try to find it last minute when it is do. I used to do this and it made my life really hard. Get a folder for each different class, label one side of the folder homework and the other things that you have gotten back.

If you really want to go big buy a big expanding folder to handle all of you classes because there are different sections in it.

2. Color:  If you have multiple notebooks, folders, and other things alike make or at least label them the same color it will make it way easier to pick out your class needs.

3. Locker: If you organize your locker it will be one of the biggest helps you could imagine. There are many ways you can organize your locker. I suggest buying a stand up rack that you put on the bottom of your locker. Then you can put all of your textbooks in one area and all of your folders in another or you can put them together by class. Put the folder next to the textbook of that class.

4. Planners: Most schools will give you a planner for the whole year I suggest that you use it to your advantage. It will help you keep track of homework and give you a heads up when a test is coming.

Good Luck
