Compromising for the Sake of Sanity
As an impulsive person, it's hard to make a decision or come to a general consensus of what to do. The biggest decision of my life so far came when May 1 rolled around. For those who don't know, May 1 is the day when high school seniors make their final decision regarding what college to go to. It was a pretty big deal for me; I was torn between 3 schools for a while and then it came to the final 2. I had plans to leave the state, but little did I know, when you leave the state the costs are super inflated. However, if I stayed in Michigan, then I would be paying much less.
Scholarships & Essays
Getting into college is the easy part; the real work comes in when you're looking for free money. There are tons of scholarship opportunities out there, but you really have to look for them. Scholarships are pretty easy to find, but they require a lot of work. It takes a lot of patience to search for all the opportunities that are out there. It's best to have a folder or binder solely dedicated to scholarships and a planner that keeps track of all the scholarship deadlines you find.
